Missouri State Prevails Away From Home, Beats Indiana State 69-63

No comments :
Missouri State showed earlier in the season that they were not afraid of playing away from home in Missouri Valley Conference Play.  The Bears pulled off a 77-65 upset victory on the road against then 19th ranked Creighton.

After a pair of home games and coming off a 68-60 loss to Illinois State, the Bears went back on the road to take on a Indiana State for the first time since last season's Missouri Valley Tournament Championship game.

The Bears got back to their winning ways on the road thanks to a 11-1 second half run to beat the Sycamores in the rematch 69-63.

The Bears out-rebounded Indiana State 32-28 and turned the ball over just ten times in route to victory.

The Bears got a team high 17 points from junior guard Anthony Downing.

Team leader and reigning Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year Kyle Weems scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Bears, who are now 3-1 in conference play and 10-6 overall.
