Less than a week after John Mozeliak told reporters that Wong would likely be in the mix for the starting second base position next spring, Wong was selected to participate in the Rising Stars Game, a show case that takes place during the Arizona Fall League.
Wong, who hit .287 with nine home runs, 52 RBI's, and 22 stolen bases for the Double AA Springfield Cardinals this summer, is also hitting the ball well in the Arizona Fall League too.
Wong is carrying a hot bat this fall too, hitting .321 in thirteen games played and has ten RBI's.
Wong and Springfield teammate Oscar Taveras participated in the Futures Game that took place during the 2012 All-Star weekend in Kansas City this summer. The Rising Stars Game is just another shot for Wong to showcase his skills against other top talent.
