St. Louis Cardinals: A reflection on the 2012 season from the United Cardinal Bloggers

Despite falling just one game short of their second consecutive World Series appearance, the St. Louis Cardinals had a very fulfilling and successful 2012, their first without Tony La Russa, Dave Duncan, and Albert Pujols.

As the 2013 seasons approaches and with spring training just a week away, not is a great time to reflect back on the 2012 season and there is no better way to do so than by checking out the latest production from the United Cardinal Bloggers.

Edited by Daniel Shoptaw of cardinal70.com and Christine Coleman of Aaron Miles' Fastball, 18 of the best bloggers in the universe combined to create The 2013 United Cardinal Bloggers Annual: An Unexpected Journey

Available as ebook on Kindle, the production re-hashes the 2012 season perfectly through the perspective of some of most passionate and literate fans in all of Cardinals' Nation.

Here are a few sample excerpts from Shoptaw.
"Between Jay’s disabling and Craig and McClellan being sidelined, the Cardinals went out to Los Angeles to play three games with the Dodgers. It proved to be a memorable series in one way, as Lance Berkman hurt his knee and left the field wondering if his career was over. Amazingly, his ACL was not torn and Berkman was able to return later in the season, but it still was a disheartening thing for Cardinal fans to see."

"What did inspire the fan base were the rumblings coming out of the Cardinal organization that, well, “season-ending” didn’t mean what we thought it meant. Chris Carpenter’s surgery went so well and the recovery was so quick that he started throwing side sessions for the club. With the minor league season over, there was no place for him to do rehab work, but the side sessions grew in intensity and, unlike the spring, there didn’t seem to be any setbacks."
We invite you to check out more of this very interesting recap of the Cardinals 2012 season. It would be the perfect gift for the the crazed Cardinals fan or you can take it with you to Jupiter as the Cardinals get ready for spring training.
