Video: Jake Allen robs Alex Burrows with glove save

On Friday night, Jake Allen made national headlines for the miraculous stick save he made in the St. Louis Blues 5-2 victory over the Calgary Flames. Allen's save against the Flames is likely the save of the season thus far in the NHL.

Allen started for the third night in the row between the pipe for head coach Ken Hitchcock and was at it against on Sunday night against the Vancouver Canucks. Allen once again an incredible save, this time, with the stakes a bit higher and with the game on the line.

In overtime, Canucks forward Alex Burrows scooped up a loose puck and dodged past Blues defenseman Ian Cole in towards Allen for a breakaway.

Burrows deeked and make a nice move, but Allen stood firm and made an incredible glove save on the attempt.

Allen now has made two highlight reel saves on consecutive nights for the Blues and has helped lead the team to three consecutive victories.

Unfortunatley for Allen, despite his great play, his time may be up in St. Louis for now as starting goalie Jaroslav Halak dressed on Sunday night and served as the backup. Halak could return to action soon and with Brian Elliott still around, Allen would likely be headed back to Peoria once Halak returns.

For now, Allen can bask in the glory of three consecutive victories and two marvelous saves.
